Carnegie in Concert swings into action with the ultra-smooth gypsy jazz of The Faux Frenchmen. Featuring a star-studded roster and headline bookings at jazz festivals across the country, The Faux Frenchmen were Cincinnati Entertainment Award winners for "Best Jazz" in 2008 and have been credited with two "albums of the year" by Cincinnati CityBeat. Celebrated classical crossover ensemble Conundrum returns to The Carnegie for a spooky evening of musical tricks & treats, featuring the group's unique blend of clarinet, flute, piano, and soprano voice. Works by Saint Saens, Ned Rorem, and Libby Larson are spiderwebbed together with Halloween prose and poetry. December 2, 2010 | 7:30pm
Greet the holiday season with an evening of musical theatre mirth, as Acclaim Award MVP's Patti James and Steve Goers lead a quartet of the premier young talent from the musical theatre classes of CCM, NKU and Wright State University. It's a Mardis Gras celebration straight from the Big Easy as celebrated pianist and singer Ricky Nye and company offer a rollicking concert of traditional boogie woogie and elegant New Orleans-style blues and ballads.
