The Carnegie presents:

Carnegie in Concert is a four-performance chamber music series featuring the finest musicians and ensembles from our area and the region. Challenging traditional assumptions about chamber music, the series will include a host of ensembles and musical genres which push the boundaries of the medium, combining string quartet and piano trio performances with jazz, bluegrass, folk, and ethnic music.

The Azmari Quartet

If “azmari” is derived from Aramaic meaning “to sing,” then in four short years Northern Kentucky University’s Corbett String Quartet-in-Residence has sung their way to becoming one of the region’s most prized chamber ensembles. Described by The Cincinnati Enquirer as possessing “relentless energy and superb intonation,” the Azmari Quartet is a winner of the prestigious Plowman Chamber Music Competition and TROMP International String Quartet Competition. Azmari maintains an active schedule of performing and teaching.
