Ornate edible creations and sculpture were often created for celebrations in the cities and courts of early modern Europe. The Art of Food, an exhibition of ephemeral art created out of food, pays homage to this past and will feature food as more than a necessity, but as a taste experience. The Art of Food explores the ways in which food is a complete sensory experience along with creative interpretations from artists who use food as the inspiration for the art. Today, the food industry is integrated in all aspects of pleasing the senses.
