Creativity comes alive at The Carnegie, where dreams begin. The Carnegie is a community multi-arts organization dedicated to providing and promoting exciting art experiences to art lovers of all ages. Each year The Carnegie touches the lives of over 28,000 people in the tri-state. It is a family-friendly place where children and adults can discover, appreciate and celebrate their own talents. The Carnegie makes the arts accessible to diverse audiences, at little or no cost. These cultural experiences promote a sense of cohesiveness, which benefits all members of society.

The Carnegie has discovered that it fills a unique niche as the only multi-disciplinary arts organization in the region that invites at-risk students from the Covington, Kentucky public schools to the art center to engage in arts enrichment activities and events for free. Our model Scripps Howard Art Stop program reaches out and serves at-risk youth who live in the immediate and surrounding Covington neighborhood. Youth have a safe, predictable, supportive, and creative environment at The Carnegie in which to explore and master multiple art forms. Being valued and developing skills and competencies to make positive choices are critical to enhancing the quality of life for the youth we target.

The five galleries, the largest exhibition space (over 6000 sq. ft.) in Northern Kentucky, showcase an amazing array of local and regional artists. The Carnegie offers a rare opportunity to see an incredible variety of work ranging from emerging to established contemporary artists. Our fun-filled opening receptions draw a melting pot of patrons and artists. Featured artists are selected through our annual, juried "Call to Artists" process. Individual and theme-based shows are combined throughout the gallery season.
